Here is a sweet pair of cicadas ready to fly on your ears.

I started with a gorgeous handmade lampwork bead. This bead looks quite dark in certain lights but in brighter light, the richness of reds and other colors emerge. Next, I added a rich brown patina to the delicate filigree charms to represent wings. A slender brass charm (with patina) rests underneath the filagree wing to add depth. The eyes are a deep red opaque glass bead underlined with a deep brown disc.

This is my second cicada design. It is more realistic and a bit elegant. 

These little buggers swing. They are lightweight and fun to wear.

Made to order. No two will be exactly the same. The patina on each pair of earrings varies due to the nature of the handmade process. No two cicada earrings will be exactly the same. If you would like an image sent of your unique pair, add a note to seller when you order.
